On Nov 18, 2021 I will be cooking along with Chef Eric Chong, First Master Chef Canada and Hong Kong Chef and TV Host Christian Yang. We all are joined by our love for Hong Kong. For a full hour, we will be sharing how we got into food, became chefs, and what we love about the food scene in Hong Kong. I will be cooking up a noodle soup dish that is inspired by my grandmother and all the noodle stalls in Hong Kong.
My grandmother immigrated from Hong Kong to San Francisco. Her greatest pleasure was to cook for all of her 5 children and 4 grandkids. I was very fortunate to have grown up having her home-cooked meal and a lot of the way I cook for my kids are now reminiscent of her style. The recipes and techniques she used to make soups/tonics and protein utilizes healthy cooking methods and ingredients and is a very common theme in Hong Kong cuisine. Watch me cook Ho Fun Noodle Soup with Minced Fish Patty by going to the link below to sign up. Join us live while we explore Hong Kong culture and what drives our passion to cook.
If you are interested in learning how to replicate the dish I will be cooking up and can't join the event, my recipe below will allow you to follow step by step.
